SVCC is committed to advancing the Kingdom in our own community through our Local Mission ministries, which include working with the homeless, family work days, and close partnerships with local nonprofit organizations.
Throughout the year, we offer support programs for our church family as well as our community. These programs are here to support you or your family in times of stress, change, and growth.

SVCC supports local efforts to reduce homelessness, and to assist those in need of food.
SVCC supports our local homeless population through Gilroy Compassion Center and Sobrato Transitional Housing by supplying dairy and other perishable food items which are donated by a local grocery store. The donations are also used for walk-ins needing assistance and other ministries that take place through SVCC. We are always in need of volunteers to be a part of the pickup and delivery team.
Once a month an SVCC team goes to the Gilroy Compassion Center to provide and serve a meal. We value this opportunity to fellowship and share the love of Jesus with our local homeless community.
The Homeless Coalition of San Benito County is a collaborative effort of local citizens, faith based organizations, and local governments to provide seasonal, temporary shelter and essential services to the county’s homeless population.
It is our mission to fight hunger and malnutrition in San Benito County. We serve as a countywide source of supplemental food for the working poor, low-income seniors, families, children, homeless and disabled citizens of our area.
SVCC supports local pregnancy centers to help uphold life and support women.
Located in Gilroy, Informed Choices provides hope, compassion, and practical support to women facing the challenges of unplanned pregnancy. All their services are free and confidential and offered in a safe environment by trained staff and peer counselors. These services are offered free of charge because of generous gifts from donors. You can serve in many ways to support this ministry.
Visit websiteHollister Pregnancy Center is a licensed medical clinic staffed with trained, knowledgeable, caring individuals. Limited medical services and medically accurate information is offered in a safe, supportive environment. Our medical staff and trained counselors can answer women’s questions, talk with them about their options and provide women with positive solutions.

SVCC supports families and seeks to restore brokenness.
Caring for children in the foster system is a powerful way to
pro-actively address issues like homelessness, drug abuse, human trafficking, prostitution, and teen pregnancy. You can get involved as a Foster Family or a Support Friend.
A Christmas program of Prison Fellowship where we reach out to the children of inmates and their families with the love of Christ.
A program to empower low-income families living in Gilroy by offering them the opportunity to choose gifts for their children and youth at our Bridge Christmas Compassion Store.
