Isaac Serrano
Lead Pastor
Isaac is Lead Teaching Pastor of South Valley Community Church. He likes talking theology, history, and culture. Isaac lives in Gilroy with his wife, three sons, and two daughters. On his days off, he likes to go fishing and venture outdoors. Isaac also serves on the leadership board for the Regeneration Project.
Kevin Kurzenknabe
Discipleship Pastor
Kevin is the Discipleship and Ministry Pastor as well as an Elder. Before coming on staff in 2016, he helped plant a church and performed several roles behind the scenes at SVCC while working in his business career. He has lived in Gilroy with his wife and two children since 2000.
Sam Whittaker
Teaching & Mission Pastor
Sam is a Teaching Pastor and Missions Pastor at South Valley Community Church. He has been married to his wife Christina for thirteen years and the two of them have three children, Jubilee, Phoebe, and Isaiah. In addition to his pastoral ministry, Sam is a member of the Board of Directors for Hope of the Nations. His main hobbies include studying theology and philosophy, reading, and trail running.

Business Executive
Dean's business career spanned 46 years, with emphasis in accounting, business planning, and IT Systems Development both domestically and internationally prior to joining SVCC. He currently resides with his wife in Morgan Hill, CA. They have three adult sons, three grandsons, and a great granddaughter.

Accounting Manager
Ann has been the Accounting Manager since 2010. She brings her experience from her Business Administration degree, her accounting work for her husband's business, and her work at various non-profits to her duties at SVCC. She is grateful that God has a place for her gifts in service to His church.
Accounting Assistant/HR Manager
Terri started attending SVCC in 1986. In 1992, she joined the staff as the Children's Pastor. After ministering to the children and their families for nearly 20 years she decided to pursue a new career by earning an accounting and business degree. Terri returned to the staff in 2014 as the HR Manager and Accounting Assistant.
Mission Director
Tammy Stone joined our staff 9 years ago. Tammy is very passionate about empowering others to engage in mission while being a light in the community. She is working on her certification in Biblical Counseling in Crisis and Trauma Care. Tammy volunteers in the community as part of the Volunteer in Policing program at the Gilroy Police Department.
Technical Support Administrator
As our Technical Support Administrator, Jerry maintains electronics and services we rely on to function in a high tech, connected world. Jerry, his wife, Sheri, and three children moved to Gilroy in 1984 to help start SVCC. He currently serves on the elder board and worship team. He thoroughly enjoys being "Grandpa" to seven of the greatest grandkids on this planet!
Adolfo Tellez
Maintenance Facility Coordinator
Adolfo Tellez oversees all maintenance and repairs of building and grounds on multiple sites. He started attending South Valley Community Church in 1996 and joined the staff in 2008. He is a Veteran of the United States Army. He has lived in Gilroy since 1976. He enjoys his family and helping others.

Receptionist
Caroline has been attending SVCC since 1998. She loves serving the Lord, singing and spending quality time with her family. She recently attended a local college and received her AS degree in Health Science. She enjoys tutoring children in English. She is thrilled to be working on staff at SVCC.
Greg Quirke
Campus Pastor
Greg Quirke is the Gilroy Campus pastor. He and his wife Kim live in Gilroy and have attended SVCC for 30 years where they have raised their son and daughter. He also serves as the Chaplain for the Gilroy Police and Fire Departments. He is deeply passionate about connecting with people and seeing the restorative work of the gospel create mission focused lives.
Jeanine Leyva
Gilroy Children's Pastor
Jeanine, our Gilroy Children's Pastor oversees programming for our youth, from birth to elementary. She "gets" kids and brings years of ministry and parenting experience with training in psychology and education to her work at SVCC. Having raised four kids she will be the first to say that humility and laughter are essential in surviving parenthood!
Drew Dowler
Worship & Arts Pastor
Drew has a huge passion for music and leading God's people in worship through song. He deeply loves his wife Lisa and two children and enjoys family time and date nights! Drew is a self-proclaimed synthesizer geek and also enjoys taking photos, ping pong, outdoor running, and visiting new places.
Stan Vajdos
Student Ministries Pastor
Stan serves as the youth pastor for Jr. High and High School. Every week he is involved in bringing the different ministries to life at the Gilroy Campus. He is lighthearted, simple, and fun. He probably has more fun than the students. Stan moved to Gilroy several years ago and currently lives in Gilroy with his wife Noel.
Justin Richter
Young Adult Pastor / Graphic Designer
Justin is the Young Adult Pastor and graphic designer at SVCC. He has served pastorally in Gilroy for over 15 years and is passionate about preaching and demonstrating the love of Christ to the community. In addition to spending time with his wife Sarah and three kids, Justin enjoys hiking, running, watching live music and sports, and is forever in pursuit of brewing the perfect cup of coffee.
Suzanne Lopez
Campus Manager
Suzanne Lopez is the Gilroy Operations Manager. She also partners with Pastor Greg Quirke to assist in logistics of events, prayer ministry and Sunday Morning activities. She has been on staff since 2005. She is a youth leader with the High School girls. She loves the Lord, people, and her puppies. She especially loves to dance on Sunday mornings.

Lisa loves serving in the church and has helped in many areas of Children's Ministry since coming to SVCC in 2004. She is passionate about reaching children with the truth of God's Word. She and her husband Bradley have 2 grown children and live in Gilroy.
Gina Donnelly
Custodian
Gina has been the SVCC custodian since 2004. She is responsible for housekeeping at the Kelton Campus and Main Office. She also leads a small group for women on Monday mornings. She's been a member of SVCC since 1999. Currently, she lives in San Jose and loves to spend time with her family and friends.
Joe Hoiberg
Sound Designer
Joe has been a longtime friend and member of SVCC. He graduated from Expression College with BA in Sound Arts. He loves God, music and video games.

Matt Kirkland
Campus Pastor
Matt Kirkland serves as the Campus Pastor for SVCC’s Hollister Campus. Born and raised in California’s Central Valley, but now calls Hollister Home. He earned his bachelor’s degree from Fresno State, a master’s degree from Union Seminary/PSCE in Richmond, VA, and a doctoral degree from Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, KY.
Matt is married to his wife, Amy, and together they have four adult children. Outside of ministry, he enjoys playing guitar, working in his garden, and getting out on the tennis court.

Naomi Castro
FAMILY MINISTRIES ADMIN ASSISTANT
Naomi is the Family Ministry Administrative Assistant at SVCC Hollister. She has been serving in Children's ministry since she was in Junior High and in Student ministry for about four years. Naomi is currently a full-time senior at Liberty University and will be graduating with a bachelor's degree in Psychology this spring. In her free time, she enjoys coffee, writing, or walking her two dogs.
Kim Becerra
Campus Administrator
Kim has been attending SVCC since 2017 and serves joyfully in the Children's Ministry. She loves spending time with her husband Steve and their family in their motorhome at Pismo Beach. Kim also enjoys her Monday night Bible Study Group and hanging out with her grandkids.
Ben Morrison
Interim Worship Leader
Benjamin came on staff as the Interim Worship Leader for SVCC Hollister in 2019 and has a heart for serving the Kingdom, especially with praise and worship. He and his beloved wife Yazmin, have three children and love spending family time together outdoors exploring God's great creation or just being silly together with lots of laughter. He served 9 years in the USAF (2005-2014) and is currently a commercial electrician apprentice. Being a native of San Benito County, he has a particular familial love for the community and for bringing the Gospel to its people.

Children's Ministry Director
Heather is Director of Children’s Ministry at South Valley Community Church, Hollister. She is a graduate of the University of San Diego, where she earned her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in education. After college, she was a Christian elementary teacher in San Diego. She has been married to her husband, Josh, for 20 years and lives in Hollister with their 5 kids. Heather has homeschooled all her children for the last 13 years. Since high school, she has volunteered in many different capacities in children’s ministry. Before coming to South Valley, she served as a Children’s Ministry assistant and Children’s Ministry Director. In her free time, she enjoys reading, exercising, and spending time with her family and friends.
